But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisinho Uribe couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergio Cano during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Mihnea Plăcintă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. Cassius Byrne made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Mihnea Plăcintă managed to reach the ball for a save. Quintin Gomar struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Ángeles de Charlie 2. If Quintin Gomar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Aquilino Cuevas in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Truylos Gonzalez was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 87th minute, Staffan Ekegren made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. When Aquilino Cuevas in the 91st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Marco Day kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 3-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 94 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquilino Cuevas. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though USA had controlled the match.
