Abraham Alguacil got in the 4th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Finn Eidsvåg and thus it was 1-0. Cornelius Bjørgo hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Cornelius Bjørgo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelius Bjørgo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 12 minutes into the game, Cornelius Bjørgo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18th minute, Erik Stordal made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Stordal, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Panama! The referee gave AEK FC a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abdi Malkoçoğlu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. 1-4. After 31 played minutes AEK FC got a freekick which was hit by Severin Indahl. In the 32nd minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finn Eidsvåg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Stordal, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 38 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when AEK FC's Erik Stordal fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. Alex Cambeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Cambeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Radowit Hetman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. The Panama players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AEK FC were winning 2-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Endre Bjørheim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 54th minute of play forced AEK FC's goalkeeper Finn Eidsvåg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Finn Eidsvåg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AEK FC's Severin Indahl got a free kick in the 56th minute. Finn Eidsvåg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Roald Djupvik hit a great ball. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Ros during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Finn Eidsvåg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 minutes of play, Panama's Abraham Alguacil made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Finn Eidsvåg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind AEK FC's goalkeeper Finn Eidsvåg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finn Eidsvåg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
