Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birant Şükran, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Figueiredo in the 18th minute of play. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Villiam Arenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Adalberto Figueiredo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Figueiredo in the 32nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Ayala received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Elias Ayala slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the game, Luca Rouco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zagłębie Dąbrowskie the free kick. In the 45th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Rouco to maneuver through the defense. Adalberto Figueiredo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 47 played minutes Zagłębie Dąbrowskie got a freekick which was hit by Van Damme.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Adalberto Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Krzysztof Krawczyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Villiam Arenius in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joel Gaona, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adalberto Figueiredo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Adalberto Figueiredo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 90th match minute, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alpay İdil to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Gaona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Joel Gaona hit a great ball.
