Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The audience was convinced that Nestor Vinhas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. 6 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Chester Bennington's Nilton Sena. Nilton Sena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 14 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute Reinaldo Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nilton Sena. Maximiliano Escribano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 25 minutes, Geovânio Tróia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chester Bennington and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jaime Cazalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nilton Sena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Reinaldo Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reinaldo Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Chester Bennington booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Chester Bennington's goalkeeper Nilton Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. Maximiliano Escribano had several of the Chester Bennington's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Nilton Sena as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 43 minutes, Kevin Carballal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Chester Bennington players grew even worse after the yellow card. 47 minutes in the game, Maximiliano Escribano fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nilton Sena having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nilton Sena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximiliano Escribano's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 61st minute, Alberto Gisbert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. Kevin Carballal was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 4-0 became the score in the 70th minute when Alberto Gisbert elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Camilo Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilton Sena having to interfere. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. Nilton Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st match minute, Chester Bennington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Tróia to maneuver through the defense. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nilton Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Chester Bennington's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Nilton Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fábio Tepedino got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uruguay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
