A sloppy throw-in by Luís Amorim in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. A collision led to Š¢σяpiσиŠ getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jorginho Esteves hit a great ball. Luz Tejedor scored 2-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emílio Cordeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
