Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Laurence Stas came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Tinoco in the 6th minute of play. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Hille IF's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Laurence Stas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Fredrik Käcker tried to sneak it across the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fredrik Käcker. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 24th minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Laurence Stas came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Hille IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurence Stas couldn't finish the play. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laurence Stas's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. If Fredrik Käcker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adilson Tinoco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurence Stas was the one to do the kick off. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurence Stas in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrik Käcker in the 54th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Laurence Stas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Laurence Stas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the game, Hille IF's Fredrik Käcker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 75 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Käcker came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hille IF's Tommy Lindberg suffered a sore thigh after 76 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Aaron Alcocer's late challenge caught a Hille IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer helped the player get up and apologised. Hille IF made a substitution. Stellan Grep replaced Tommy Lindberg. After having played for 79 minutes, William Sjöö managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hille IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Sjöö was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adilson Tinoco in the 81st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Tinoco in the 82nd minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Käcker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Fredrik Käcker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hille IF fully deserved thier win.
