Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Kurt Bure started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geraldo Trullols. After 6 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Benknotorna players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. In the 12th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. In the 18th minute of the match Gustav Siöberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geraldo Trullols in the 23rd minute. When Geraldo Trullols came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Benknotorna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geraldo Trullols couldn't finish the play. Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Arvin Ekerot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Benknotorna's goalkeeper Arvin Ekerot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arvin Ekerot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 37th minute of play. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Benknotorna's Geraldo Trullols. But to his dismay, Geraldo Trullols quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 44 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Benknotorna the free kick. After 44 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geraldo Trullols got free with Benito Sanz in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

In the 50th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Kenneth Majman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Benknotorna booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Bure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 64th minute of play forced Benknotorna's goalkeeper Arvin Ekerot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benknotorna's Kenneth Majman suffered a torn muscle in his knee after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Rubio during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Lång in the 69th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Arvin Ekerot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Geraldo Trullols left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Benknotorna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The long shot by Hugo Ferrant in the 82nd minute really tested Arvin Ekerot's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 87th match minute, Benknotorna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Forsberg to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Benknotorna getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Olof Forsberg hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
