The supporters of Venezuela booed when Tabor Załom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maksymilian Harasimowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tabor Załom's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Domeracki came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Domeracki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Tabor Załom's Adam Domeracki. Adam Domeracki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Adam Domeracki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Domeracki having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Maksymilian Harasimowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabor Załom's supporters rose to their feet, but Maksymilian Harasimowicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the match, Tabor Załom's Miromir Zdeb sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adam Domeracki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute of the match. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Domeracki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Domeracki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Szczepan Rzeszutko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tabor Załom's goalkeeper Adam Domeracki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Tabor Załom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grzegorz Fleischer to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maksymilian Harasimowicz in the 54th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miromir Zdeb, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The supporters of Tabor Załom booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Tabor Załom players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 69th minute of play forced Tabor Załom's goalkeeper Adam Domeracki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Herbert Pacholewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
