After 46 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teofilo Coleira made a kick off. Reuben Billington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Ungia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justino Ungia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 61st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Teofilo Coleira sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute, Patricio Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justino Ungia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. After 75 played minutes Sugamuxi got a freekick which was hit by Nataniel Hormaza. In the 76th minute, Nataniel Hormaza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 86 minutes, Teofilo Coleira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sugamuxi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Coleira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Teofilo Coleira tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Sugamuxi getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Vedillo Galan hit a great ball. The Sugamuxi fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Sugamuxi's Hori Guillemez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the final whistle sounded Sugamuxi left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Venezuela.
