After 3 played minutes Raureni Academy got a freekick which was hit by Cristinel Tomozei. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Nichifor Aelenei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Ologu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Espinar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Ologu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Ologu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 14th minute of play. Lucrețiu Domuță's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucrețiu Domuță helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Raureni Academy got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Domuță. Raureni Academy's Victor Ologu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes Raureni Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmundo Espiga who took care of the corner kick. Edmundo Espiga made a great header on Honduras's corner, it was just that Raureni Academy's Victor Ologu managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Ologu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florin Manu hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Raureni Academy's Pompiliu Andrițoiu got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Ologu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Nichifor Aelenei succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Nichifor Aelenei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Nichifor Aelenei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nichifor Aelenei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Villa charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastian Villa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nichifor Aelenei scored 4-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Villa got free with Victor Ologu in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Florin Manu made in the 62nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. A collision led to Raureni Academy getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Cristinel Tomozei hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Sebastian Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cornel Manciulea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nichifor Aelenei in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Sebastian Villa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Ologu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Raureni Academy's Victor Ologu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Tafalla in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Raureni Academy's Nichifor Aelenei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of Honduras booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Manu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Raureni Academy players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
