But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Gustaf Blom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Per-Åke Vik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes in the game Ingemar Dalman did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to August Olofsson. Jonatan Ekgren came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Marcelo Vincente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Malcolm Lund made in the 19th minute of the game a quick throw-in and August Olofsson immediately put the ball in play. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Jonatan Ekgren put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 26th minute, Arild IF's Jonatan Ekgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Vincente got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute of play forced Arild IF's goalkeeper Per-Åke Vik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaf Blom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonatan Ekgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 51st minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonatan Ekgren's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Ekgren in the 55th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Per-Åke Vik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Ekgren in the 62nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66thth minute of the game Jonatan Ekgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arild IF made a substitution. Filip Literski replaced Marc Västerstrand. Marcelo Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Jonatan Ekgren took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Ekgren in the 94th minute of play. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
