Francisco Barrionuevo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Tunç Akkaya had several of the Ecuador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 42 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Julio Vera as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Akif Akın kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tunç Akkaya made a kick off. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tunç Akkaya went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The ALASKU TSG fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when ALASKU TSG's Tunç Akkaya looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tunç Akkaya in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Akif Akın made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. After a defensive mix-up in ALASKU TSG's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Barrionuevo came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Barrionuevo having to interfere. Tunç Akkaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tunç Akkaya in the 90th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Tunç Akkaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALASKU TSG's supporters rose to their feet, but Tunç Akkaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tunç Akkaya came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Arias during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. ALASKU TSG's Garip Kadrican got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but ALASKU TSG were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
