The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Cornelius Bjørgo hit a great ball. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Stordal in the 6th minute. If Erik Stordal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 played minutes AEK FC got a freekick which was hit by Radowit Hetman. A hard shot 15 in the game by Radowit Hetman from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. Radowit Hetman in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Radowit Hetman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 1-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Maximiliano Escribano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in AEK FC's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Finn Eidsvåg came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Cazalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximiliano Escribano scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Finn Eidsvåg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Adam Svenning in the 37 minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Severin Indahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severin Indahl hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radowit Hetman made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goalkeeper Finn Eidsvåg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Escribano got free with Finn Eidsvåg in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Finn Eidsvåg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Finn Eidsvåg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maximiliano Escribano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 66 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Radowit Hetman put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Finn Eidsvåg made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. Severin Indahl hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the game, Henrik Tjelle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AEK FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. The supporters of Uruguay booed when AEK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Tjelle didn't get a good kick on the ball.
