Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Birila having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Ψ virgen Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Jonas Birila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ψ virgen Ψ's Jonas Birila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 9th minute of play. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Jonas Birila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Cambeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ψ virgen Ψ's Abelardo Pes got a free kick in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Birila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victorino Diaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 44th match minute, Ψ virgen Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blas Gaizkine to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pablo Sayvion to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonas Birila came out of the goal and Isidoro Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Gonzales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ψ virgen Ψ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
