In the 30th minute, Alvaro Pazienza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute of the match Savicevic Show got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fortunato Verdini ran over to the corner to take the kick. Armando Salemme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Christian Iannone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savicevic Show's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Christian Iannone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Salemme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Salemme saved Savicevic Show from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Adriano Corleone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adriano Corleone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Corleone in the 62nd minute of the match. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Armando Salemme made a huge save.
