Kevin Johnson hit a great ball. Curro Climent didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Luz Tejedor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Curro Climent read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Kevin Johnson took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 21 minutes Sitges's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Milagros Fraga managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sitges's goalkeeper Curro Climent, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Revuelta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lorenz De Paula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sitges's Curro Climent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Curro Climent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Curro Climent was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the match, Sitges's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Curro Climent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Curro Climent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nabucodonosor Llorente, made in the 53rd minute of the game. 55 minutes into the match, Sitges's goalkeeper Curro Climent had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sitges's goalie prevented a goal. Curro Climent was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Sitges's Curro Climent. Curro Climent was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Curro Climent made a huge save. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Salazar in the 74th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldemar Folch, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Nabucodonosor Llorente in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. In the 85th minute, Alonso Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Curro Climent narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafael Gallo took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Curro Climent. Curro Climent dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Baldemar Folch took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa.
