Washington Demartis hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Er Miner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 15th minute of play. Er Miner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of the match. Er Miner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Countdown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Er Miner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Countdown FC's Er Miner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 46th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Er Miner. That made the score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Er Miner could save by the left post. Washington Demartis scored 1-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Er Miner made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Er Miner came out and tried to block the shot, but Lautaro Mancebo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 76th minute. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Er Miner made a huge save. After 85 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Cardozo in the 86th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Dida Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vítor Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
