Boquenses's Tobias Osoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of play. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tobias Osoro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. If Nicolas Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Rey made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 44 minutes into the match, Boquenses's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Tobias Osoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Gregorio Tirso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Gregorio Tirso put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Oier, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Tobias Osoro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Boquenses's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tobias Osoro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Boquenses's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Julian Murillo scored to the left of an out of position Tobias Osoro, making the score, 1-5. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Tobias Osoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
