Curro Climent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 22nd minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Axel Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Curro Climent was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute, Sitges's Mauricio Salazar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenz De Paula in the 36th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenz De Paula, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Abram Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 47 in the game by Baldemar Folch from a close distance when the talented Pedro Manzanares managed to make a qualified save. Colombia's players were relieved. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauricio Salazar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Mauricio Salazar notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Kevin Mastache's late challenge caught a Sitges's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevin Mastache helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Kevin Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenz De Paula in the 61st minute of play. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Mauricio Salazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Henrik Suuroja hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the game, Mauricio Salazar threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Abram Secada quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sitges's Curro Climent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 71st minute of play. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sitges.
