In the 8th match minute, NiğdeBeşiktaş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamdi Kelami to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, NiğdeBeşiktaş's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Müfit Totuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guo Xiong Xuan came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. After 20 minutes, Facundo Cadaval made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. NiğdeBeşiktaş's Müfit Totuk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Müfit Totuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raşit Sırat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. After 33 minutes, Wayne Hally mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NiğdeBeşiktaş and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Müfit Totuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 36th minute of the match. After 38 played minutes NiğdeBeşiktaş got a freekick which was hit by Resul Erentürk. Müfit Totuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Müfit Totuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 42nd minute of play. After 45 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. Müfit Totuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. NiğdeBeşiktaş's Müfit Totuk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save NiğdeBeşiktaş from getting a goal against them. Müfit Totuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Müfit Totuk made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Müfit Totuk. That made the score 0-2 after 61 minutes of play. Müfit Totuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Raşit Sırat took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Müfit Totuk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 74th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raşit Sırat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Müfit Totuk threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, NiğdeBeşiktaş's Müfit Totuk got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of NiğdeBeşiktaş's Müfit Totuk. Müfit Totuk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 86th minute of play forced NiğdeBeşiktaş's goalkeeper Müfit Totuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Müfit Totuk managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Mexico's Joel Gaona fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 96 minutes, Raşit Sırat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NiğdeBeşiktaş's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raşit Sırat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The NiğdeBeşiktaş fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
