After having played for 39 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Thomas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The FC Barcelona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 77th minute, Feliciano Roland had to leave the field with a concussion. Andres Arnalt charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andres Arnalt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Despite being the better team, Panama failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
