Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jerom Walters started the match with the kick off. Ive De Meyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Jerom Walters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Ive De Meyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ive De Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pipo Berghmans. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ive De Meyer was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ive De Meyer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Gullegem's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play forced FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Ive De Meyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ive De Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ive De Meyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur Ottevaere's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arthur Ottevaere helped the player get up and apologised. Arthur Ottevaere hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ive De Meyer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ive De Meyer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 46th match minute, FC Gullegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Ottevaere to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54th minute, Felix Montenegro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ive De Meyer. The goal made the score 0-3. Pipo Berghmans kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. After having played for 63 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, FC Gullegem's Ive De Meyer got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Felix Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ive De Meyer. That made the score 0-4 after 73 minutes of play. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ive De Meyer made a huge save. After a rather tough play, FC Gullegem's Octavian Verduyckt got a free kick in the 77th minute. Janes Hendricks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Arthur Ottevaere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. 93 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ive De Meyer. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
