But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Carafa couldn't finish the play. Pascual Carballar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Velester Football Club's Comunardo Valente. But to his dismay, Comunardo Valente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Yin Zhi Wei fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Velester Football Club's protests and gave Yin Zhi Wei a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Colombia booed when Velester Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yin Zhi Wei didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes Velester Football Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Axel Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Velester Football Club's Ferdinando Scarinci did a great save. 28 minutes into the match, Abram Sarmiento notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Velester Football Club's Ferdinando Scarinci. Ferdinando Scarinci was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinando Scarinci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 37th minute of play forced Velester Football Club's goalkeeper Ferdinando Scarinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinando Scarinci prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Velester Football Club's Pietro Romeo was substituted for Betão Camargo. In the 62nd minute of the game Yin Zhi Wei made a throw-in which Pietro Romeo played forward. Emanuel Gliga made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Ferdinando Scarinci came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Velester Football Club's goalkeeper Ferdinando Scarinci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Adriano Carafa came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Velester Football Club fans jumped to their feet. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Valente in the 81st minute of play. The Velester Football Club fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Velester Football Club's Adriano Carafa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Adriano Carafa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferdinando Scarinci was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kevin Mastache showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 90 minute of play. After 95 minutes, Anselmo Baleren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Velester Football Club and the Colombia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Velester Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Baleren to maneuver through the defense.
