Thanks to some nice moves Lubomír Meszároš could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 45th minute of play forced MALAIA FDFDF's goalkeeper Belmiro Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Chicote's late challenge caught a MALAIA FDFDF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Chicote helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 51st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gaos during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MALAIA FDFDF booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duda de Queirós made in the 63rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mazinho Correia immediately put the ball in play. In the 64th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Belmiro Negri in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoni Basaik, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. MALAIA FDFDF's Lubomír Meszároš got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romildo Binder in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lubomír Meszároš, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Romildo Binder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. In the 87th minute, Edgar Tasso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Tasso in the 89th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute of the match MALAIA FDFDF got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vitinho Pontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Antoni Basaik was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
