In the 16th minute La France FC were awarded a corner. Atilio De la Cuadra went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Guillermo Cordarius got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mei Wei Xuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mei Wei Xuan ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Olle Casillas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olle Casillas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olle Casillas. Olle Casillas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Chile booed when La France FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Davids didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. After having played for 87 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luis Vázquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Vázquez in the 89th minute of the match. After 92 played minutes La France FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Cordeal. La France FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chile for a fine match.
