Fulvio Vittorio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Pedro Manzanares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 12 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atilio De la Cuadra. La France FC's Olle Casillas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 46th minute of play.

After a rather tough play, La France FC's Edgard Davids got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Kevin Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Luis Cazalla fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombia's protests and gave Luis Cazalla a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Luis Cazalla. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulvio Vittorio in the 59th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, La France FC's Fulvio Vittorio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Abram Secada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olle Casillas having to interfere. Edgard Davids might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Davids ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, La France FC's Olle Casillas got control of the ball when Pascual Carballar tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Luis Vázquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olle Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
