An unexpectedly hard shot by 程轩桦 in the 32nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, 程轩桦 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 2-1. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 程轩桦 in the 35th minute of play. 高然川s short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 41st minute of the match Alan Moruga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but 秦霖星 showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 秦霖星 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 47th minute of play forced 江苏扬州连福队's goalkeeper 秦霖星 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when 程轩桦 made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When Alan Moruga was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. 高然川 fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 82nd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind 江苏扬州连福队's goalkeeper 秦霖星, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If 程轩桦 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, 程轩桦 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
