An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play forced Cachiyuyo EAS's goalkeeper Evaristo Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachiyuyo EAS's Evaristo Velasco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute, Fabricio Rencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Evaristo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Cachiyuyo EAS's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Evaristo Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29thth minute of the game Luis Andino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachiyuyo EAS's Evaristo Velasco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Primitivo Andino made in the 31st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Fabricio Rencio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Evaristo Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a little luck, Cachiyuyo EAS's Evaristo Velasco got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Celedonio Xabel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Rencio in the 61st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Evaristo Velasco to make any attempt to save it. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Velasco having to interfere. Cachiyuyo EAS's Dito Sena was substituted for Fabricio Rencio. 78 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Cachiyuyo EAS's Evaristo Velasco. Evaristo Velasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Evaristo Velasco made a huge save. The Cachiyuyo EAS fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Cachiyuyo EAS's Dito Sena looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Sena in the 90th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Dito Sena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3.
