Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cristian Sancho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SANFINS VLP's David Prada did a great save. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 15thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SANFINS VLP's David Prada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Prada. David Prada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 25th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Prada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after SANFINS VLP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Prada in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Basílio Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basílio Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SANFINS VLP! In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving David Prada. 0-2. If Zhuang Fan Zhen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Prada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 41st minute of play forced SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after SANFINS VLP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudio Caniggia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Basílio Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 minutes, Zhuang Fan Zhen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANFINS VLP and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Zhuang Fan Zhen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which David Prada despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Prada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Caniggia, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Zhuang Fan Zhen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Zhuang Fan Zhen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SANFINS VLP throughout the match.
