After some careless play in the Peru defense, Yu Jian Tian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. When Gustavo Cordera came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the E➣ PINCHARRATA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Cordera couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Yu Jian Tian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Yu Jian Tian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stef Vallejos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stef Vallejos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Yu Jian Tian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After 64 minutes, Alonso Berganza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peru and the E➣ PINCHARRATA players grew even worse after the yellow card. E➣ PINCHARRATA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Peru played a much better game than E➣ PINCHARRATA and deserved their victory. The E➣ PINCHARRATA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
