Alvaro Giusto started the match with the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Luis Cazalla in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by San Michele AFC's Felice Zinni. If Alvaro Giusto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 5 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Giusto came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match, Hüsamettin Civanmert tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Manzanares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Hüsamettin Civanmert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. After some careless play in the San Michele AFC defense, Abram Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Motta Rello. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 20th minute of play forced San Michele AFC's goalkeeper Motta Rello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Colombia's Santino Seco to fire away a dangerous shot which Motta Rello despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alvaro Giusto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlo Corna got a throw-in 36 minutes in the game and the ball was received by 齐平宁. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Mosca in the 38th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 56th minute, Felice Zinni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dennis Chiappini's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dennis Chiappini helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes San Michele AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Chiappini. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Giusto in the 64th minute of the match. The supporters of San Michele AFC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Felice Zinni hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hüsamettin Civanmert in the 79th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 minutes, Ignacio Mastache made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. San Michele AFC's Motta Rello tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 83rd minute Alvaro Giusto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Motta Rello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute Abram Secada suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Colombia's Israel Elvira was substituted for Abram Secada. After 90 played minutes San Michele AFC got a freekick which was hit by Felice Zinni. In the 93rd minute, Kevin Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Colombia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colombia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
