Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sport Clube Recife's Doctor Strange started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Doctor Strange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doctor Strange in the 5th minute. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Gualter Penha sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Abram Sarmiento hit a great ball. If Doctor Strange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute, Doctor Strange got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Lampard in the 15th minute. Sport Clube Recife's Doctor Strange got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dong Yang Bang's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Pedro Manzanares on his right side and into the goal. 23 minutes into the game it was 1-0. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 26th minute of play forced Sport Clube Recife's goalkeeper Percy Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo Lampard. In the 33rd minute, Abram Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 41 minutes into the game, Sport Clube Recife's Pablo Lampard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. With his leg Pedro Manzanares managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Sport Clube Recife's Doctor Strange fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Doctor Strange came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Lampard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pascual Carballar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gualter Penha scored 3-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute, Santino Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Clube Recife's Pablo Lampard. But to his dismay, Pablo Lampard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Doctor Strange's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Sport Clube Recife were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dong Yang Bang took the corner. After taking down the ball on Sport Clube Recife's corner Dong Yang Bang fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Lampard in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Sport Clube Recife's Pablo Lampard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. 86 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Penha came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacio Mastaches short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Percy Fernandez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sport Clube Recife had played much better football throughout.
