Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abelardo Machado's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 김 함 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Tostão Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Urameshi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tostão Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 김 함 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 30th minute of the match Urameshi FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dave Gahan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Urameshi FC's Dave Gahan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Abelardo Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Agustín Saelices left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tostão Cabral in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 44 minutes, Agustín Saelices mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Urameshi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tostão Cabral received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Tostão Cabral slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 김 함 had in the 53rdth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but 김 함 made a huge save. In the 56th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 김 함 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Agustín Saelices got away a dangerous shot. Despite this 김 함 quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Urameshi FC's goalkeeper 김 함, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd match minute, Urameshi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Neiva to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tostão Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 75 minutes Urameshi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Urameshi FC's 김 함 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of play. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 84 minutes into the match, Urameshi FC's goalkeeper 김 함 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with 김 함 in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Urameshi FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
