Linterna verde's Siro Jolis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 4th minute of play. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Tirso Durango tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tirso Durango's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Cisneros got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurelio Cisneros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. 29 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Paz Palacios came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Paz Palacios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Siro Jolis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Linterna verde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. 35 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tirso Durango. The crowd rose to their feet as Linterna verde's Aurelio Cisneros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. Siro Jolis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. Siro Jolis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Axel Montenegro's late challenge caught a Linterna verde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Linterna verde booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Cezary Lewandowski took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paz Palacios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Axel Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Linterna verde's Eate Urguia was substituted for Cezary Lewandowski. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Antonio Indiano hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 77 minutes Linterna verde's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kevin Mastache who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Kevin Mastache almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Linterna verde's Siro Jolis did a great save. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Ignacio Mastache took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Siro Jolis to make any attempt to save it. After 86 played minutes Linterna verde got a freekick which was hit by Donostia Aragones. Linterna verde's Siro Jolis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Linterna verde from getting a goal against them. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Siro Jolis made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Linterna verde's Aldri Wenas got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Kevin Mastache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eate Urguia in the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Linterna verde.
