Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elizardo Massana kicked off to start the match. When Oliverio Cavallosa came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Carqueja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliverio Cavallosa couldn't finish the play. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordairo Segura having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Carqueja's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Cordairo Segura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliverio Cavallosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Elizardo Massana sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordairo Segura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cordairo Segura saved Carqueja from getting behind. Cordairo Segura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 26th minute of play. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Mario Vielva kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carqueja's Cordairo Segura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enmanuel Herdozain in the 36th minute of play. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Oliverio Cavallosa scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-1. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Carqueja's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cordairo Segura. Cordairo Segura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Cordairo Segura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 59th minute. With a little luck, Carqueja's Cordairo Segura got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Elizardo Massana came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Elizardo Massana sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Franco Garro kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Carqueja's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cordairo Segura came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carqueja made a substitution.
