S.D NARCEA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 19 minutes into the match, S.D NARCEA's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Germán Figueres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when S.D NARCEA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roldán Quijana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germán Figueres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Germán Figueres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. S.D NARCEA's Germán Figueres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, S.D NARCEA's Félix Zărnescu got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to S.D NARCEA getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Félix Zărnescu hit a great ball. The supporters of S.D NARCEA booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germán Figueres made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. S.D NARCEA's Germán Figueres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save S.D NARCEA from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, one of S.D NARCEA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for S.D NARCEA. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S.D NARCEA.
