Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute of the match Golden Hills got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Santo Sparks ran over to the corner to take the kick. Egil Östlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoffrey Vasquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Golden Hills's corner Geoffrey Vasquez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoffrey Vasquez in the 42nd minute of the match. Egil Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Östlund having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoffrey Vasquez in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Golden Hills's Egil Östlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Hills from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Geoffrey Vasquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Geoffrey Vasquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's goalkeeper Egil Östlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Andino. 94 minutes into the game, Jerold Brownell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden Hills's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 94th minute, Jerold Brownell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Golden Hills succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
