Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Egil Östlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ryan Bellamy might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryan Bellamy ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoffrey Vasquez in the 9th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Östlund having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ward Doran in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Golden Hills's Santo Sparks got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santo Sparks made in the 29th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ryan Bellamy immediately put the ball in play. Golden Hills's Jerold Brownell got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th match minute, Golden Hills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffrey Vasquez to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Santo Sparks charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santo Sparks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th match minute, Golden Hills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Sparks to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Bellamy in the 57th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egil Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mariano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Hills the free kick. In the 59th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 64 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Ward Doran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Santo Sparks made in the 70th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Alex Chicote. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ward Doran in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egil Östlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Golden Hills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Forbes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Golden Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Forbes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Egil Östlund when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ward Doran in the 79th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. If Geoffrey Vasquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Geoffrey Vasquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Golden Hills's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
