After a rather tough play, FC Smolenice's Iván Sotomayor got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iván Sotomayor went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matej Bohuš read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Patricio Costa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Matej Bohuš quite easily take care of the ball. Though ot was a great shot Venezuela's keeper Jonathan Ferrant was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iván Sotomayor to strike the kick off in the second half. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Widodo 吕布 charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Matej Bohuš showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute of the match.
