The supporters of ФК ОВЕЧ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, ФК ОВЕЧ's Grigor Doychev tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Grigor Gerchev came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, ФК ОВЕЧ's goalkeeper Grigor Gerchev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 57th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. ФК ОВЕЧ's Grigor Gerchev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save ФК ОВЕЧ from getting a goal against them. Grigor Gerchev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brunko Robev, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute, Doychin Malamov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Grigor Gerchev firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 72nd play minute Daniel Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Grigor Gerchev. 0-7. In the 77th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Grigor Gerchev. Grigor Gerchev yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. In the 84th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Grigor Gerchev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Grigor Gerchev firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Doychin Malamov came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the ФК ОВЕЧ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doychin Malamov couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and ФК ОВЕЧ's Grigor Gerchev didn't even have to move. After 93 played minutes ФК ОВЕЧ got a freekick which was hit by Haralampi Pochinkov. After 94 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. After a defensive mix-up in ФК ОВЕЧ's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grigor Gerchev came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The ФК ОВЕЧ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
