BEIJO CARNAVAL's Godfredo Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Belasko in the 17th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godfredo Abarca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 24th minute. Godfredo Abarca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfredo Abarca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godfredo Abarca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Arias in the 37th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Belasko in the 38th minute of the match. Godfredo Abarca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of play. 47 minutes in the game Gerardo Abilio did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Rigoberto Olayo. After a rather tough play, Peru's Eliseo Mina got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Godfredo Abarca was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 55th match minute, BEIJO CARNAVAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Abilio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Peru booed when BEIJO CARNAVAL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Beltxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Godfredo Abarca made a huge save. Gerardo Abilio made in the 60th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rigoberto Olayo immediately put the ball in play. 62 minutes into the match, BEIJO CARNAVAL's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Godfredo Abarca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 minutes BEIJO CARNAVAL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Godfredo Abarca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BEIJO CARNAVAL's Richard Peso was substituted for Alonzo Lazcano. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Godfredo Abarca made a huge save. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Godfredo Abarca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Dei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Peru's Rafael Gallo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
