But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Janne Töpperwien couldn't finish the play. Raymond Louis charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raymond Louis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Karhulan Veikot booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymond Louis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Janne Töpperwien might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Noel Seide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Janne Töpperwien ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Janne Töpperwien's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Noel Seide was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the game, Janne Töpperwien lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Noel Seide. Janne Töpperwien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Haiti's Noel Seide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Haiti from getting a goal against them.

The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Haiti. Noel Seide had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping István Vida's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janne Töpperwien in the 62nd minute of play forced Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Stamatis Kritikos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noel Seide was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. 71 minutes into the game, Karhulan Veikot's Stamatis Kritikos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noel Seide made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. After 80 minutes of play, Karhulan Veikot's Stamatis Kritikos made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Noel Seide was left in no man's land by his defense there! Noel Seide came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Karhulan Veikot's István Vida. But to his dismay, István Vida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. Janne Töpperwien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Stamatis Kritikos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karhulan Veikot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stamatis Kritikos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Janne Töpperwien blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Noel Seide having to make a save. When Stamatis Kritikos came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Karhulan Veikot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stamatis Kritikos couldn't finish the play.
