Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vili Aćimović in the 12th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, NK AvtoBUM Kočevje's Vili Aćimović got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 15 played minutes NK AvtoBUM Kočevje got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Giggs. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janis Pulver, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 57 minutes into the match, NK AvtoBUM Kočevje's Vili Aćimović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
