The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cazimir Frunză during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 7 played minutes ITA Arad got a freekick which was hit by Cazimir Frunză. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcu Zdroană prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcu Zdroană made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 10th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Tiberian, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Marcu Zdroană tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cazimir Frunză kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, ITA Arad's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Marcu Zdroană reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcu Zdroană showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Cambeiro in the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Albert Barbăneagră cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Panama booed when ITA Arad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Ipate didn't get a good kick on the ball. ITA Arad's Cazimir Frunză got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Cazimir Frunză off the ground. Panama's Estefania Rasgado was substituted for Abraham Alguacil. In the 45th minute, Cazimir Frunză hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 46th minute of play forced ITA Arad's goalkeeper Marcu Zdroană to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 51st match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. ITA Arad's Marcu Zdroană proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save ITA Arad from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcu Zdroană breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Estefania Rasgado got free with Marcu Zdroană in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Miralles in the 64th minute of play forced ITA Arad's goalkeeper Marcu Zdroană to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ITA Arad made a substitution. Nistor Săvoiu replaced Denis Tofan. Marcu Zdroană took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panama were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
