With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Michel Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, APOELHELLAS's Michel Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Nikola Ribić sent off a good shot on target. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Michel Santos sent off a good shot on target. Michel Santoss short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Joaquin Gayoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 47 minutes into the match, APOELHELLAS's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Tobias Øverland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Jorge Sainz kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 60 minutes into the match, APOELHELLAS's Makareus Poulakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tobias Øverland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 62nd minute. In the 66thth minute of the game Michel Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Santos in the 79th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Michel Santos put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. After 85 minutes of play, APOELHELLAS's Michel Santos made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 92 played minutes APOELHELLAS got a freekick which was hit by Aglauros Sakellariou. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Makareus Poulakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The APOELHELLAS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
