Vacid Seralp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of play forced Calentura's goalkeeper Vacid Seralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Calentura booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 33rd minute of play forced Calentura's goalkeeper Vacid Seralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Calentura's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Vacid Seralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Calentura's goalkeeper Vacid Seralp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergen Kutsalan got free with Dante Lacasa in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Vacid Seralp threw himself towards the right post 50 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Zorita, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The corner led Mexico's Macos Graciani to fire away a dangerous shot which Vacid Seralp despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 53rd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Calentura made a substitution. Fleitas Villabol replaced Dennis Galdo. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Calentura were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Romo Viñambre took the corner. Romo Viñambre made a great header on Calentura's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. Vacid Seralp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 67th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Barreiros in the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Vacid Seralp in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Calentura's Vacid Seralp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Calentura from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Sergen Kutsalan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sergen Kutsalan came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
