Torbjörn Rosendal ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torbjörn Rosendal in the 33rd minute of the match. After 43 played minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alwi Songgonau came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico reached it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torbjörn Rosendal made a kick off. Torbjörn Rosendal might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Torbjörn Rosendal ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Rosendal, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 57 played minutes Pil SK got a freekick which was hit by Dario Lucente. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Zorita in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alwi Songgonau saved Pil SK from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Pil SK's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Alwi Songgonau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Rosendal in the 62nd minute of play. Pil SK's Tony Berglund was substituted for Torbjörn Rosendal. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Leoz in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pil SK's Jens-Ove Göransson. Alberto Tafalla was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 76 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Berglund came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alwi Songgonau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Pil SK's Alwi Songgonau got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tony Berglund might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
