When Eulalio Abaunza came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Peluchita Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eulalio Abaunza couldn't finish the play. In the 21st match minute, Peluchita Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Bikendi to maneuver through the defense. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogdan Kornatowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play forced Peluchita Fc's goalkeeper Bogdan Kornatowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Abaunza in the 40th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eulalio Abaunza in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, Peluchita Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Bogdan Kornatowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eulalio Abaunza's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Abaunza, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marciano Obeko was slow to take the kick. During this time Peluchita Fc's players had a chance to rest. In the 65th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Kornatowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Kornatowski made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Eulalio Abaunza took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Peluchita Fc made a substitution. Cosme Sansone replaced Eulalio Abaunza. Bogdan Kornatowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 81st minute of the match. Jaroslaw Czeszyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Sansone came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
