The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mikolaj Milan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 2nd minute of play. After taking down the ball on Uruguay's corner Jaime Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mikolaj Milan quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Tanek Zalipski put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mikolaj Milan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Milan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Mikolaj Milan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 32nd minute of play. Edgar Jaroch kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piorun Komorowice's goalkeeper Mikolaj Milan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Piorun Komorowice's Tanek Zalipski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 2-0 after 38 minutes of play. Dariusz Jestrimski's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dariusz Jestrimski helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Piorun Komorowice getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Dariusz Jestrimski hit a great ball. Antoni Bator charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antoni Bator the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Piorun Komorowice getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Fernando Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Milan having to interfere. In the 88th minute of the match Tanek Zalipski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquin Gayoso skillfully saved the ball. Uruguay's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Piorun Komorowice had won, even though Uruguay had held more of the ball.
