If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ove Tanvad hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita scored 0-4 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Holger Nødholm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Darkwing Ducks's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Holger Nødholm came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Holger Nødholm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Holger Nødholm having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 58th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Holger Nødholm. The goal made the score 0-7. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Hofne in the 62nd minute of play. Darkwing Ducks's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Luis Andino scored to the left of an out of position Holger Nødholm, making the score, 0-8. 67 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Holger Nødholm. Darkwing Ducks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. In the 70th minute, Sonni Øbing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd match minute, Darkwing Ducks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eigil Plambek to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Holger Nødholm. That made the score 0-10 in the 73 minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Holger Nødholm. Holger Nødholm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. In the 84th minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Holger Nødholm. Darkwing Ducks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-12. Holger Nødholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Holger Nødholm made a huge save. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Holger Nødholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Darkwing Ducks throughout the match.
